Dr. Danial is currently an adjunct fellow at the School of Engineering, Design, & Built Environment at Western Sydney University. Prior to joining Western Sydney University, Dr Danial was a senior lecturer at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He is also working as a part-time senior researcher at South Ural State University, Russia. He received his PhD degree in geotechnical engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2015. He is the author or co-author of over 200 scholarly publications (mostly journal publications), on a wide range of topics in the areas of rock mechanics, tunnelling, pile and foundation, slope stability, concrete technology, applying artificial intelligence (AI) systems and optimization algorithms in getechnics and geomechanics. Dr. Danial is also a recognized reviewer in the areas of rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering. He was among the world’s Top 2% Scientists, in 2020 and 2021.
